We Trust In Us is a Black-led nonprofit fueled by culture, creativity, and community power. We create pathways for youth and families through entrepreneurship, apparel education, mental wellness, and hands-on programs that reflect the people we serve. This isn’t charity it’s collaboration

When we say “We Trust In Us,” we mean it, we build what our community needs, from the ground up.



Our Mission


We Trust In Us exists to uplift underserved communities by creating safe, creative, and educational spaces that empower youth, support families, and fuel healing from the inside out. We promote entrepreneurship, encourage small business growth, and organize community-driven events that foster connection, culture, and pride. We meet people where they are and help get them where they need to be. We’re not waiting for change, we’re building it.

What We Do

We Trust In Us builds spaces and systems that serve real community needs. Rooted in South Sacramento, we provide creative, educational, and economic opportunities that uplift youth and families who are often overlooked.

Our work includes:

From apparel design to creative writing and gaming, we give young people tools to explore identity, build confidence, and develop real-world skills.
We offer safe spaces for expression, trauma-informed workshops, and community-led support focused on emotional wellness.
We guide youth and adults through branding, printing, product development, and small business basics to spark ownership and economic stability.
We host gatherings that bring people together Unity in the Community, Trunk or Treat, youth showcases, and more all grounded in joy, visibility, and connection.

At every level, we meet people where they are and help get them where they need to be.

Our Why

We come from the very communities we serve the same streets, the same struggle, the same untapped potential. We know what it means to be overlooked, underfunded, and underestimated. That’s why We Trust In Us exists, because no one is coming to save us so we build with what we have, for who we love.

We do this for the youth searching for purpose.
For the families carrying too much on their backs.
For the creatives, the hustlers, the dreamers, and the doers.

Our work is about more than programs it’s about power. Ownership. Healing. Representation. Legacy.
